Professor Cerise

Professor Cerise made a cameo in a fantasy in Enter Pikachu!. He physically debuted in Legend? Go! Friends? Go! during the opening ceremony of Cerise Laboratory, where he explained his goal of studying everything about Pokémon to better understand them and the world itself. During his speech, Cerise received an alert of changes in the atmosphere, leading him to predict the appearance of a rare Pokémon at the Vermilion harbor.

Later, he was impressed after hearing Ash and Goh's findings after their encounter with the rare Pokémon, Lugia, and offered the two to become research fellows at his lab, which they accepted. Afterward, Cerise offered Goh to choose one of the Kanto first partner Pokémon, but Goh declined, wanting to make Mew his first Pokémon instead.

In Ivysaur's Mysterious Tower!, Cerise gave Ash a smartphone before releasing his two Rotom from their Poké Balls. The Rotom proceeded to enter Ash and Goh's smartphones, turning them into Rotom Phones. Since then, Cerise has been sending Ash and Goh on various missions around the Pokémon world.

In Dreams Are Made of These!, Cerise accompanied some children during a Pokémon Orienteering competition, where he competed against a team led by Chloe and Goh and another led by Ash. At the end of the day, his team became the winners of the competition when they arrived first at the finish. He encouraged all participants to pursue their respective dreams, however.

In To Train, or Not to Train!, Chloe befriended an Eevee and caught her. After this, Professor Cerise handed his daughter a Rotom Phone.

In Reuniting for the First Time!, Professor Cerise watched Chloe's participation in the Contest Spectacular in Lilycove City. He was quite proud of his daughter's progress after the performance.

In Radio Lulled the Mischievous Stars!, Professor Cerise became a fan of Team Rocket's radio show, along with Ren. He quickly became an avid listener and managed to receive multiple badges for his participation.

In Infinite Possibilities!, Professor Cerise took Chloe on a camping trip, where he encountered Grover from his childhood.
