Ice Punch (Japanese: れいとうパンチ Freezing Punch) is a damage-dealing Ice-type move introduced in Generation I.

It can be thought of as a counterpart to Fire Punch and Thunder Punch, having similar names and effects.
Effect
Ice Punch does damage and has a 10% chance of freezing the target.
Ice Punch can be used as the first move of a Pokémon Contest combination, causing Fire Punch and ThunderPunch to score double the normal appeal if used in the next turn. It can also be used to finish a combination, with the user gaining 4 bonus appeal points if Fire Punch or ThunderPunch was used in the previous turn.

Ice Punch's PP was reduced from 15 to 10 and has a 30% chance of giving the opponent frostbite (the replacement for the frozen status).
