Gapejaw Bog - Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokmon encyclopedia
From Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia.
The Gapejaw Bog (Japanese: 大口の沼 Widemouth Swamp) is an area that stretches from the western to the central region of the Crimson Mirelands of Hisui. It extends from the Golden Lowlands to the northwest and Sludge Mound to the southeast. The Holm of Trials is due south of the region, across the river.
Geography
The Gapejaw Bog is separated into two distinct sections by a river flowing down from the northwestern part of the mirelands. Each section has a unique environment separate from the other. The western section has a geography similar to the Golden Lowlands adjacent to it, with patches of golden grains and marshy spots. The marshes are more plentiful, and some portions contain pieces of old ruins. It has a forested region that hugs the mountainous boundary to the west. The eastern section can be accessed from log bridges that pass over the river. It contains marshes like its western counterpart, albeit less densely-packed together. This section features a collection of muddy pools like that in the Scarlet Bog; the flora in this area is less vibrant and more sparse.

Pokémon
In the TCG
Gapejaw Bog was introduced as a Stadium card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the English Sword & Shield Series (the Japanese Sword & Shield Era). It was first released in the Japanese Time Gazer expansion and the English Astral Radiance expansion, with artwork by Oswaldo KATO. It forces both players to put two damage counters on their Basic Pokémon whenever they are played from the hand onto the Bench.
