A Durin Berry (Japanese: ドリのみ Dori Fruit) is a type of Berry introduced in Generation III.

In the core series games

In the Generation V games, the Durin Berry can be sold to the gourmet maniac on Route 5 for $500.

Effect

Durin Berries cannot be used directly and only have a use as an ingredient, such as for Pokéblocks and Poffins.

Generation III

In Pokémon Emerald, the player can exchange a Durin Berry for an HP Up if the Favor Lady asks for 'something pointy' in the Lilycove Pokémon Center. A Durin Berry can also be exchanged for an Iron if the Favor Lady asks for 'something wham-ish'.

Generation IV

In Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, the player can exchange Durin Berries for accessories at the Pick a Peck of Colors Flower Shop.

In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, the player can exchange:

• 250 Durin Berries for a Mirror Ball

In Pokémon Platinum, the player can exchange:

• 100 Durin Berries for a Fluffy Bed

In the Pokémon Dream World, the player could exchange Berries for Décor. The following Décor required Durin Berries.

A Durin plant will yield 3-15 Berries. A growing Durin plant's soil dries by 8% every hour, fully drying out in 13 hours.

Pokémon X and Y

A Durin plant will yield 3-15 Berries. During its growth, watering the plant adds 1 Berries to the final harvest, weeding it adds 1, and removing a pest adds 3. Durin plants attract Burmy as pests.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

A Durin plant will yield 3-15 Berries.

Generation VII
Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon

A Durin plant will yield 4 Berries if Isle Aplenny is at Phase 1, 8 Berries if it is at Phase 2, and 12 Berries if it is at Phase 3.

Generation VIII
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

A Durin plant will yield 2-15 Berries.

Pokémon Sleep

The Durin Berry is available in Pokémon Sleep as one of the Berries that can be gathered by helper Pokémon and fed to Snorlax.

Effect

Durin Berries raise Snorlax's Strength, doubling the effect if the Berry is Snorlax's favorite. The base amount of Strength raised by the Berry is determined by the level of the helper Pokémon that gathered it.

Acquisition

Durin Berries can be gathered by Grass-type helper Pokémon in the player's team. Like all Berries in the game, gathered Durin Berries do not go into the player's inventory and instead are immediately eaten by Snorlax.

In the anime

In The Brockster Is In!, Dawn found a Durin Berry while looking for a Pecha Berry. Later, Brock used Durin Berries and Oran Berries to make an energy drink for a poisoned Pichu.

In Battling With a Clean Slate!, Ash and his friends used Durin Berries while making a feast at Professor Sycamore's laboratory.

Durin Berries appeared in First Catch in Alola, Ketchum-Style!.

In Currying Favor and Flavor!, Ash and Pikachu found Durin Berries, along with other kinds of Berries, inside a hollowed-out stump in Lush Jungle while looking for a Miracle Seed to be used as a dish ingredient.

In SM064, Durin Berries were at the nest of a group of wild Passimian.

In Real Life...Inquire Within!, Durin Berries were included in the basket of Berries given to Ash and his classmates' Pokémon by Anela.

In A Recipe for Success!, Mallow served a group of Fearow a meal consisting of Durin and Belue Berries whilst helping out at Oranguru's place.

A Durin Berry appeared in Chancing Upon Chingling, being one of the Berries that Diamond and Lax used to slip a Team Galactic Grunt at the Team Galactic HQ so that Diamond could take his clothes and disguise himself as a Grunt.

Platinum arc

In The Final Dimensional Duel VII, Jupiter used a Durin Berry to turn her Tangrowth's Natural Gift into a Water-type move while battling against Marley's Arcanine.
